Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy football on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing numberFire's projections as a guide, here are some NFL player props bets that look appealing.

Please note that betting lines and numberFire's game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Any Time Touchdown (+130)

The Detroit Lions have a 25.75 implied team total against the Los Angeles Chargers, where the over/under is up at 48.5 points.

The Chargers have struggled on defense this season against wide receivers, and we get a chance to target them with one of the best in the league, Amon-Ra St. Brown.

St. Brown, aka The Sun God, has been fantastic this season and leads the Lions in nearly every metric. St. Brown is playing on 90.2% of the snaps and running a route on 92.8% of dropbacks, and he has a 31.6% target share, 32.6% air yards share, and 30.4% red zone target share.

Those top the Lions' skill position players this season, however, he has only three touchdowns to show for it. He maintains a massive level of involvement in the offense but is running on the bad side of touchdown luck.

That should change this week due to the matchup against a lackluster Chargers secondary. This season, the Chargers have allowed the seventh-most (1,530) receiving yards and are tied for the fifth-most (9) touchdowns given up to opposing wide receivers.

While the Chargers may represent lightning, The Sun God will shine the brightest this week and find the end zone.

Sam Howell Over 37.5 Passing Attempts (-114)

Sam Howell is ballin' this year for the Washington Commanders, and it's going overlooked.

With 2,471 passing yards, Sam Howell has the second-most passing yards in the NFL behind only Tua Tagovailoa. He's so high up on that list because he's passing the ball at an extremely high rate, which has led to 353 total passing attempts this season, the most in the NFL.

The Commanders are running an average of 65.0 offensive plays per game, which is the 11th-highest in the league. We also see the Commanders with a massive 67.86% pass play percentage, which is the NFL's highest mark.

They are running a ton of plays, and the vast majority of those plays are passes. This has led to Howell averaging 39.22 pass attempts per game, which is the highest in the league -- there is a clear theme going on here.

This week, the Commanders are 6.5-point road underdogs against the Seattle Seahawks. If they are playing from behind, it will put them into a passing game script, allowing Howell to rack up the attempts. This won't be anything out of the ordinary for them, as they're slinging the ball around at the league's highest rate.

Jaylen Warren Over 53.5 Rushing+Receiving Yards (-114)

The Pittsburgh Steelers are taking on the Green Bay Packers, which puts Jaylen Warren in a favorable spot this week.

The Packers are struggling on defense this season and find themselves in the league's bottom half for the most rushing yards (770) and receiving yards (283) allowed to opposing running backs.

Despite the fact Warren is playing only 45.3% of the snaps, he has a 13.9% target share (third-highest on the team) and a 28% rush attempt share (second-highest).

Warren is also very effective in a pass-catching role and comes in with 260 yards after catch, which is the 16th-most in the league. He has more YAC than Stefon Diggs and Keenan Allen, which should tell you how explosive he can be with just a few catches.

Warren may not have a massive role, but boy oh boy is he piling up the yards every time he touches the ball this year. All of this should lead to over 53.5 combined yards against the Packers.
