Royce Lewis (quad) back in action Tuesday for Twins
Minnesota Twins infielder Royce Lewis will start on third base and bat fifth in Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Luis Gil and the New York Yankees.
What It Means
Lewis will play in his first game since Opening Day after the Twins activated him from the injured list on Tuesday. Jose Miranda will move to first base in place of Carlos Santana. The Twins optioned infielder Edouard Julien to Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding roster move.
numberFire's models project Lewis for 7.7 FanDuel points on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins have the second-worst implied total (3.30) in the majors today. Among qualified pitchers this season, Gil rates in at least the top 89th percentile in xERA, xBA, and strikeout rate. However, his 12.4% walk rate is in the bottom 13th percentile.
