Verdict

WAR CRY (3) took on some strong opposition and clocked in fourth when resuming in the Harness Million Final at Alexandra Park. This is much easier and he has the benefit of a good draw. Fitter and could prove tough to beat. LEXINGTON QUEEN (7) was first up for eight months when second last start at Ashburton. Freshened again since but was kept up to the mark with a trial win. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position but she has upside. BEACH BLESSING (2) is stepping out for the first time. By Downbytheseaside and hails from the Tony Herlihy stable. Has been trialling well and gets the the benefit of a good draw so looking for a strong showing. MISS BRABANT (9) is open to natural improvement off a good effort on debut last start, coming from this barrier to finish runner-up at this circuit and distance.

War Cry silk

Didn't impress first-up beaten 70 m fourth behind River at Alexandra Park in a 3yo F on March 20. Will be fitter for that last run.

Lexington Queen silk

Having her second run back from a spell. Good run when 2nd (Fr9) over 1 ½m at Ashburton Raceway beaten 4 m by Crimson Tide (3:02.40) in 3yo+ on February 22 at $3.80. Capable of taking this out with that first-up run out of the way.
