PADDY MCDADDY (8) finished sixth two starts back at this track then made short work of his rivals last start to win by 23 metres over 1 ?m at Rangiora. Will need a bit of luck negotiating a very wide starting position. Taking on a better line-up this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. EDWARD LONGSHANKS (2) produced yet another strong performance last start when he battled on bravely to just miss out over 1 ?m at Rangiora, adding to a string of recent minor placings. Will enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he good enough to play a major role. CYCLONE ZION W (1) resumes from a spell. Last appeared when a modest eighth over 1 ½m at Ashburton Raceway six-and-a-half months ago. NUBLIAH CHAMAY (3) should not have any excuses from the favourable draw. Each-way.
