DOBKINS (4) brought good numbers from Caulfield and just missed this track/trip first-up. Raced much handier in that and this is winnable with the extra fitness. VILLE DE LUMIERE (6) settled rearward but really knuckled down to miss by 1.3L at Horsham first-up as a $4.2 favourite. Had jumped out well and has more to give. Keeps John Allen and can fight out the finish. BRUTIFY (7) is free running and deserved the comfortable Maiden win at Colac. Wasn't too far away placing at Kyneton following over this distance and is better suited today. Has a handy gate and will get every chance. JAMMIN JIMMY (2) has been racing in better class and would be right in the finish at best. Ran his best race with Yendall aboard and he's reunited.
