Verdict

TANGOETTE (8) is a leader who just missed at Ballarat first-up and got even closer over 5 ½f at Ararat following. Draws handy and Meech can control the race. Fitter again and is sure to take beating. FROSE (3) has been racing in much tougher company and is a winning chance forgiving the latest. Was within range at Cranbourne the two before and maps for the run of the race. The 4lbs claim brings her right into it. THE LAST KING (2) won two jumpouts and raced handy at Colac over 5f on debut, breaking Maidens comfortably. Will be better for that, and with the extra fitness looks capable of taking the next step. MAXIMILLIUS (1) is much better suited at this level. John Allen rides and he can get closer.
