Verdict

TRADER (1) was unsuited by the good surface at Riccarton last time out, and fought on well enough to finish ninth. His form at Wingatui before that on wet ground was first class, and with those conditions likely here, he can bounce straight back into the winner's circle here. GROVE STREET (10) is an honest gelding who was runner-up here on Saturday. He is at his best on wet ground, and he is nicely placed here from a good gate. He can secure a run that suits him, and another good effort can be expected. Each way. ZIGGY STARDUST (6) failed to fire in the Breeder's Stakes at Riccarton over 1m, and a good track that day did her no favours. She has won her only start here, and on a wet track, she can have the last say. Don't drop her. EYE SPY (5) was not far away in a couple of starts before finishing a game runner-up at Wingatui 10 days ago. She will be peaking for this, and she can figure in the top 3 again.
