Verdict

KAZZAMATAZZ (13) stuck on well over 5f on debut at Bunbury and getting out in trip looks a good move for her. She'd trialled well coming in and was well fancied on debut. She turned in a solid figure on debut and with improvement expected, she looks the one to beat. SEVEN CANDLES (4) is coming off a long break after tackling Open 3YO company on debut. He's only had one trial coming in this campaign after an abrupt end to his preparation in March. Needs some luck from the draw, but looks to have the ability to be in the finish first-up. XELCIMUS (10) sat closer last start at Belmont and was only 1L off the winner when gunned down late as a 25-1 chance. The draw is a niggle, but she's third-up now and if they adopt similar tactics, she'll be in this for a long way. COUSIN MORTIMER (2) comes here without a trial but has some competitive figures from last campaign. Include. MARKET PLAYER (5) has trialled well coming in and is not to be discounted.
