CAPTAIN TIDS (7) made good progress second-up when he did some work from this row but stuck on for second, beaten 1.4 metres at this circuit and distance. Peaking now and should enjoy a nice smother from this draw so if he gets the gaps can go one better. WICKED LEGEND (1) did a good job to finish third last start at this circuit and distance and looks well served by the ace draw so expect him to be prominent. STANNUM (3) will find this easier than his last attempt in a Bathurst Gold Chalice heat and recorded back-to-back seconds here earlier in the campaign. GRANGE REASON (4) was a beaten favourite last start but had missed narrowly on debut prior so may be worth another chance.
