CYNICAL (5) was successful last time out by 4 metres in a far better performance at this track over 1m. Meets a comparable field so he is capable of taking this out. CONSORT (3) settled in the leading division then surged to the lead and went right on with the job to score an emphatic win on debut in a 1 ¹/16m race at Riverina Paceway last start, arriving 9 metres ahead of his rivals. A nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run. Taking on a better field but he will benefit from that last run and is good enough to cope. MICHAEL CAINE (10) is right in contention after finishing in the placings for the second time in a row last start, beaten 3.5 metres into third at this track. No reason he cannot take this out. JOHNNY TANG (9) should be at his peak at the fifth run back from a spell, the latest outing a second at this track a week ago.
