MARTA DE FAUST (3) took a solid step forward last start when fourth over 7f at Abu Dhabi, improving sharply on her prior run at Meydan. This is a softer assignment, and she looks nicely placed to break through. AF THAYER (13) resumes after a spell and wasn't at his best in his final run last year, but his overall profile is stronger than that effort suggests. Fresh, he rates highly and should be very competitive. AF YARTAAD (15) produced a much better run last start when a close second over 5f here, and although this is a deeper field, that improvement puts him right in the finish. ATTLAS (12) has not featured in his past couple, including when finishing seventh last start, but he's capable of better and looks a likely improver with genuine top-4 claims.
