An open race. NEW TARGET (7) posted two easy wins at Belmont and then was just topped off this grade over 5f at Ascot as a $2.4 co-favourite. Maps for the run of the race, and she can bounce back. NICCIMOTA (2) was the co-favourite and was beaten a nose. She was quickly back on track and draws low here and keeps the handy 4lbs claim. Will go close. WHO'S BENT (1) was a comfortable CL1 winner at Ascot and then wasn't beaten far there over 5f in stronger than this. The 7lbs claim brings him into it. NATURE'S RECKONING (6) had raced well at Stakes level before delivering a dominant win as favourite over 6 ½f at Scarpside. Stepped up to 1 ?m in the Ascot Guineas last time, and that was a stretch too far. Drops back to 5f after a month away, and she should be running into it.
