He cops a wide gate and rises in weight, but he stays in the same class. He would only need a similar heavy track to repeat the dose. PETE'S PRIDE (3) is a very promising 6-year-old gelding who has been racing in career-best form this season. He has been dashing home over 6f recently, and with a return to the mile, he can settle closer to the pace, which will make him hard to hold out. Stick with him. AFIRE (11) is a local gelding who last won here in the spring, and his subsequent runs have not been too bad. He cops his best draw since that winning effort, and he has a good chance to bounce straight back into the money here. Include.
