Verdict

GOLDEN OPERA (11) has flashed home in her last couple of starts to finish runner-up by less than a length. She cops another wide gate, but with Lisa Staples in the irons this time, she can go one better. SHINE AND BURN (7) returns after a 3-month break, having ended the last campaign with a minor placing over 6 ½f at Kalgoorlie, and she should be tough to beat. GLIMMERINTHEDUST (13) is still chasing a first win after four starts, finishing well back over 6f here 6 days ago. She is having just her second local start, and only needs to find her good trial form to be a top 4 threat in this. WARNING LABEL (12) pushed forward from a low draw last time before tiring to finish well back over 6f at Pinjarra. This is easier, and even from a wide gate, she can be a quick improver. I HAD A DREAM (1) has been consistent, placing twice from three runs this prep, most recently running second by a head over 6f here. Stick with him, as he is long overdue for his first win.
