Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he good enough to play a major role. NORMIE STEAD (1) ran sixth last start at Phar Lap Raceway over 1 ?m, beaten 11 metres. Has won his two career runs on the grass so expecting him to be prominent. HOPE FOR LOVE (9) placed second two runs back and is worth another chance after a last-start seventh over 1m at Richmond Park five days ago. CHAL VEE POWER (4) is in the mix following a respectable second at his most recent appearance over 1 ½m at Reefton.
