PARISH PRIEST (4) turned in a strong performance first-up in the money at Kyneton but was a touch plain last time when beaten 3 lengths at Seymour over 6 ½f. Fitter again and better suited in country grade. Maps well and Meech is aboard today and will give him every chance. HARD HITTER (3) improved sharply at Terang beaten 2.3L. That stacks right up and he should go close with average luck in the run. FEARLESS MONARCH (7) resumed at Mornington and got too far back. She's going to need a good ride from the wide barrier but has plenty up the sleeve and is better suited over the longer sprint. FLYING KHAN (15) was good beaten 2.4L at Warrnambool on debut and he's sure to build on that. A genuine hope if he makes the field. SIBUN (5) maps well with Yendall aboard and he missed a whisker at Burrumbeet last time. He's in the mix.
