TANZANIA (14) was racing with great purpose before the latest appearance when he finished 10 metres away in second over 1 ?m at Rangiora. Finds a nice race and will be a major force once more. KISS THE GIRLS (12) was responsible for a far better performance last start, finishing second over 1 ¹/16m at Ashburton Raceway. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player again. COCKTAILS AND CAVIAR (15) was responsible for a better effort last time out when runner-up over 1 ³/16m at Addington. Should run a big race. BETTOR BE SHARP (3) has drawn to advantage and should give backers a great sight.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.

Trifecta

A wager picking the first, second and third horses in the exact order. A trifecta box means paying more to ensure the horses can finish in any order in the top three spots.
