MY MATE LENNY (5) was beaten into fourth when resuming as a hot favourite at Shepparton but will be better for that. Still learning but looks to have ability so could strike if the penny drops. MISTER DEVEREAUX (8) is a three-year-old colt by Majestic Son on debut for Team Brosnan. Looked above average in winning his latest trial. No harm in drawing here with the sprint lane to rely upon so looking for a strong start to his career. SPIRITED GIGI (1) finished runner-up at Shepparton at his first racetrack appearance. Strips fitter and gets the ace draw so can make his presence felt. CARTACALHA (4) didn't miss the top-four at her maiden campaign. Has trialled four times so expect she is forward enough to run well fresh from a spell.
