THE SPORTZ STAR (6) came from the back row to win the last time he raced at this circuit last month and backs up quickly after a second from a similar draw at Ouyen on Sunday. Strong claims. LOMBOK (3) takes a step up in grade but is very hard to knock having made it four wins in a row when working but proving too strong last time at Mildura, taking her strike rate at this distance to 50 per cent. MARTY THE MARTIAN (5) has been far from disgraced when midfield in his last two outings at Melton, the latest from this same barrier. Finds a more suitable assignment and is capable of playing a major role. CITY ROCKSTAR (2) is in the mix after coming from this barrier for second last start at Geelong.
