AU - Ascot - Race 1

MISSISSIPPI DAWN (7) settled much closer last time out and landed the knockout blow, winning by 0.2L at this track and trip. The form out of that race has worked out well and this looks to set up similarly. Can land close to the speed once again and she looks ready to work through the grades now. HOBA WEST (1) sat on the speed and was very impressive two back before bumping into Forever Boy last start who jumped favourite in a Perth Cup lead-up last week. That form reads well and Galati sticks with him. Can find the front from the inside barrier and be hard to run down. LONG GENES (3) was too strong over 1 ?m last time out and has been freshened since that performance. He's won a trial since that performance and he can finish off strongly from the back. FREEDOM ESCAPE (6) was too good last start at Pinjarra and can storm over the top once again. STARWALKER (4) wasn't far behind Mississippi Dawn last start and has to be included.
