What Seed Are the Jets in the 2023 NHL Playoffs?

The Jets finished the 2022-23 NHL regular season with a 46-33-3 record, which earned them the second wild card spot in the Western Conference. Kyle Connor led the way for Winnipeg, recording 49 assists and 31 goals while playing in all 82 games. The Jets' most recent playoff appearance came in 2021, when they were swept by the Montreal Canadiens in the Western Conference semi-finals.

Who Are the Jets Playing in the 2023 Playoffs?

As the second wild card team, the Jets will play the Golden Knights -- who posted the best record among west division winners -- in the first round of the NHL Playoffs. This will be a typical best-of-seven series that follows the 2-2-1-1-1 format. That means the better seed (Vegas) will host Games 1 and 2, plus Games 5 and 7 if those are necessary. The worse seed (Winnipeg) hosts Games 3 and 4, plus Game 6 if that is necessary.

Looking ahead, if the Jets win this series and advance, they would face either the 2-seed Edmonton Oilers or the 3-seed Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference semifinals.
