Updated:

The arrival of spring means there's plenty of postseason basketball going on right now. One event fans are excited for is the upcoming 2023 NBA G League Playoffs, which are right around the corner.

For those interested in tuning in, here's everything you need to know about the G League Playoffs.

When Do the G League Playoffs Start 2023?

The final day of the 2022-23 NBA G League regular season is Saturday, March 25. The playoffs are set to start soon after, with the first postseason games taking place on Tuesday, March 28. The dates of the G League Finals have not been set yet, though they're expected to take place sometime in mid-April.

NBA G League Playoffs Format 2023

The NBA G League adopted a revised playoff format last season that will be employed once again in 2023. Twelve of the league's 30 teams will qualify for the postseason, taking the top six seeds from each conference at the end of the regular season.

The top two seeds from each conference earn automatic byes into the second round while the remaining squads will play in a single-elimination quarterfinal stage to advance. Then teams must survive two more single-elimination rounds (the conference semis and conference finals) in order to make the G League Finals. The format changes here, as the G League Finals are a best-of-three series instead of just one game.

In 2022, the Rio Grand Valley Vipers captured the G League title by defeating the Delaware Blue Coats two games to zero.
