Two teams looking to get back to the .500 mark meet head-to-head in Week 4 as the Detroit Lions host the Seattle Seahawks. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds list the Lions as 4-point home favorites in a game that is full of underrated fantasy football producers.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's our start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 4 NFC showdown.
Tyler Lockett Fantasy
Start Tyler Lockett, WR, Seattle Seahawks: The quarterback change from Russell Wilson to Geno Smith has done little to impact wide receiver Tyler Lockett's fantasy production. The 30-year-old leads the team with 211 yards on 21 receptions (26 targets) through three games. The only reason he currently ranks as a low-end WR3 instead of a low-end WR2 is the fact that he hasn't reached the end zone yet. That could change in Week 4 considering the Lions have given up 4 receiving touchdowns to opposing WRs, which is tied for the 10th-highest mark in the NFL. Lockett's target share alone warrants a FLEX start for the eighth-year pro.
Jamaal Williams Fantasy
Start Jamaal Williams, RB, Detroit Lions: Jamaal Williams was already a FLEX candidate before the injury to starting running back D'Andre Swift and now he finds himself firmly in the RB2 range. That is because the BYU product will see a full workload and head coach Dan Campbell has shown a tendency to lean on him near the goal line. Williams has scored 4 touchdowns this year and leads Detroit with a whopping 12 red zone touches. Keep in mind Seattle is allowing the 10th-most PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs as well as 157.0 rushing yards per game (No. 31 in NFL). Start Williams with confidence this week.
Rashaad Penny Fantasy
Sit Rashaad Penny, RB, Seattle Seahawks: This has more to do with Seattle's game plan than it does the Lions' rush defense. The Seahawks have posted the seventh-lowest rushing play percentage in the NFL (33.9%) and are expected to have to play from behind in this game. That doesn't bode well for running back Rashaad Penny. After averaging a reliable 6.3 yards per touch in 2021, Penny is only averaging 4.3 yards per touch in 2022 and has yet to score a touchdown. He has only seen 6 red zone touches overall. Both Kenneth Walker and Deejay Dallas are better pass-catching backs than Penny, which leaves him with little upside moving forward.
DJ Chark Fantasy
Sit DJ Chark, WR, Detroit Lions: A lot of fantasy managers are going to automatically assume that DJ Chark is the guy to start on Sunday after Amon-Ra St. Brown was ruled out with an ankle injury. Chark has yet to show a reason to trust him, though. He has only logged 7 catches across the first three games and may draw Seattle's best cornerback in coverage. The Seahawks are also allowing the fifth-fewest PPR fantasy points to opposing wide receiver.s If anything, Josh Reynolds is the guy to pick up after he tallied 96 yards on 6 receptions (10 targets) in Week 3. St. Brown's injury boosts the fantasy outlook of tight end TJ Hockenson more than anyone else, though.
