Week 3 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Raiders vs Titans

Week 3 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Raiders vs Titans

Updated:

Two teams looking to avoid an 0-3 record meet head-to-head in Week 3 as the Tennessee Titans host the Las Vegas Raiders. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds list the Raiders as 1.5-point road favorites in a game that is full of playmakers on both sides of the football.

If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's our start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 3 AFC showdown.

Josh Jacobs Fantasy

Start Josh Jacobs, RB, Las Vegas Raiders: Don't be surprised if Josh Jacobs ends up as a top-12 running back in fantasy football this week. The Raiders' ball-carrier has played hungry in 2022, averaging over 4.0 yards per carry for the first time since his rookie season. Jacobs draws an advantageous matchup as well. The Titans are allowing the most PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs and have given up a whopping 327 total yards to the position through two weeks. Las Vegas has to do everything it can to avoid an 0-3 start, so look for Jacobs to be relied on to keep drives alive with his power.

Ryan Tannehill Fantasy

Start Ryan Tannehill, QB, Tennessee Titans: Yes, quarterback Ryan Tannehill was horrible in Week 2 as he tossed 0 touchdowns and multiple interceptions for the first time since joining the Titans. His back is against the wall, though, and there is really no one other than running back Derrick Henry worth starting on this Tennessee offense. The Raiders are giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing QBs in 2022 and have posted only one single sack on the season. If the Titans find themselves down early on, the pressure is going to be put on Tannehill to guide the offense to scores. He is worthy of streaming consideration for managers dealing with an injury at QB.

Hunter Renfrow Fantasy

Sit Hunter Renfrow, WR, Las Vegas Raiders: Just as many fantasy managers expected heading into the season, wide receiver Hunter Renfrow is clearly the No. 3 option in the Raiders' passing attack. Davante Adams and Darren Waller should dominate a weak Titan's secondary in Week 3, leaving Renfrow to pick up the scraps with short-yardage routes and sideline completions. The former Clemson standout has only racked up 80 yards on 10 receptions (16 targets) on the year and committed a costly fumble in Week 2. With Renfrow's status up in the air due to a possible concussion, it's best to keep him on the bench Sunday.

Robert Woods Fantasy

Sit Robert Woods, WR, Tennessee Titans: Week 2 presented the perfect opportunity for veteran Robert Woods to rack up fantasy points as the Titans found themselves down for the entirety of the game. He still only managed to log 39 yards on 4 receptions in 66% of the offensive snaps. It's early, but his 2.6 yards after the catch per reception shows he may not be as shifty as he was prior to his ACL injury. Woods is simply getting overshadowed by a pair of rookies in Treylon Burks and Kyle Phillips. Another subpar performance would make the 30-year-old a viable drop candidate at this point.
