We're nearly halfway through December, which means only one thing: winter is coming. Freezing temps and snow will likely be featured in several NFL games down the stretch, especially in areas known for tundra-like conditions.
Buffalo has been no stranger to serious winter weather already this year. Now, the Week 15 forecast could feature more conditions that have a serious impact on the Bills' matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Bills vs Dolphins Weather
Spectrum News Buffalo meteorologist Dan Russell tweeted out a look at this weekend's weather on Wednesday morning. Russell highlighted that there will be both lake-effect snow and "gusty" winds for Saturday. However, the weatherman said it won't rival the snowstorm that caused the Bills' Week 11 game to be relocated.
Russell specifically made reference to Buffalo's infamous meeting with the Indianapolis Colts nearly five years ago. That game was played with several inches of snow on the field, with LeSean McCoy's walk-off touchdown run being the most memorable play from that contest.
According to Weather.com, 1-3 inches of snow is slated to hit Orchard Park on Friday night. It's then expected to continue throughout Saturday, and another 1-3 inches is forecasted at night. This will have an obvious impact on these teams since kickoff for their Week 15 clash was flexed into the 8:15 p.m. slot on Saturday instead of their usual Sunday start.
With the offensive firepower on both sides of the ball, this has the potential to be another all-time snow game. The Bills are currently slated as 7.5-point home favorites in these familiar winter conditions according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
