Week 12 Sunday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Packers vs Eagles

Week 12 Sunday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Packers vs Eagles

Updated:

Week 12 of the 2022 NFL season features a thrilling NFC showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. The Eagles will be aiming to hold onto the NFC's No. 1 seed and are listed as 6.5-point home favorites over the Packers on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.

If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's our start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 12 Sunday Night Football matchup.

Allen Lazard Fantasy

Start Allen Lazard, WR, Green Bay Packers: Fantasy managers may be surprised to see Allen Lazard listed here instead of Christian Watson. Watson has logged 5 touchdowns over the last two weeks, but the Eagles have allowed just 6 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers all season. That is why volume reigns supreme in fantasy football. Lazard has seen a team-high 25 targets over the last three weeks and has a much higher floor on Sunday night. He has scored double-digit PPR fantasy points in seven of his nine games played this season and has found the end zone in five different contests as well. The Packers may be playing catch-up early on in this one, so look for the ball to be thrown Lazard's way a ton.

Miles Sanders Fantasy

Start Miles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles have posted a rushing play percentage of 50.9% this season (No. 4 in NFL) and are set to face a Packers team that has posted the fourth-worst rush defense DVOA rating in the NFL. Green Bay is also allowing the 10th-most PPR fantasy points to opposing running backs as well as 4.6 yards per carry (No. 21 in NFL). That makes Miles Sanders a must-start player on Sunday night. Sanders has logged at least 70 yards from scrimmage or scored a touchdown in six of his 10 games played this season. He's a lock to see double-digit touches, too, which gives him a shot to finish as a low-end RB1 by the time the final whistle blows.

Aaron Rodgers Fantasy

Sit Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers has seemingly found his groove, tossing 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions over the last two weeks. The days of starting him despite a tough matchup are long gone, though. Philadelphia has posted the third-best pass defense DVOA rating in the NFL and is giving up the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. The Eagles allow just 8.5 yards per completion as well, which is the second-best mark in the league. Philly has been more vulnerable against the run, however, so expect Green Bay to pound the rock with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, limiting Rodgers' upside and rendering him more of a QB2 than a QB1.

Jack Stoll Fantasy

Sit Jack Stoll, TE, Philadelphia Eagles: The injury to starter Dallas Goedert opened a spot for second-year tight end Jack Stoll to take on an extended role on one of the league's highest-scoring offenses. Unfortunately, he did little in Week 11 to prove that he can be trusted in fantasy. While he played in a season-high 81% of the offensive snaps, Stoll logged just 7 yards on 1 reception (1 target) and was responsible for a drive-stalling penalty. He was mainly utilized as a blocker and now has to face a Green Bay defense that allows the 11th-fewest PPR fantasy points to opposing TEs. Look for A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to command most of Jalen Hurts' attention once again on Sunday night.
