Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups 2022: Fantasy Football Players You Need to Add

Updated:

Week 9 saw numerous notable performances across fantasy football, none bigger than Joe MIxon's incredible 55.1-point PPR performance. Heading into Week 10, there are several widely available players that should now be on managers' radars, especially with bye weeks and injuries in full swing.

If you need help sorting through the events of the weekend, The Duel has you covered. Here are the top waiver wire pickups heading into Week 10 of the 2022 season.

Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups

Note: Only players rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues are eligible for this list.

1. Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, Miami Dolphins (52% Rostered)

A slight exception to the 50% rule, running back Jeff Wilson needs to be on the radar for every single fantasy manager in Week 10. In his very first game with the Miami Dolphins, Wilson put together an RB7 performance for PPR leagues. Not only did he evenly split carries with Raheem Mostert (9 each), but Tua Tagovailoa preferred him as a receiver (3 targets). Wilson capped his day with a pair of TDs. Moving from a 49ers team that ranks 22nd in points per game to the Dolphins' top-10 offense is already a big plus for Wilson, but it's clear the coaching staff is confident enough to let him cut into Mostert's workload.

2. Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, Carolina Panthers (6% Rostered)

Terrace Marshall Jr. continues to expand his role on the Panthers offense in the wake of Robbie Anderson's trade. His growing role was on full display in Week 9 when he matched clear-cut WR1 DJ Moore in both targets (6) and routes run. Marshall's first career TD helped lead him to a WR19 performance and shows signs of more to come. He's also tied with Moore in Panthers' red zone targets (4). The growing workload means a safe floor and a good option to add on the waiver wire.

3. Wan'Dale Robinson, WR, New York Giants (25% Rostered)

Rookie Wan'Dale Robinson returned to the Giants in Week 6 after several weeks on the mend. And he's seen his role grow every week since that return. That includes back-to-back weeks in which he played 69% of the offensive snaps. With Kadarius Toney off the roster and Kenny Golladay still nursing an injury, the Giants will continue looking towards their rookie wideout. Against arguably the worst defense in football, the Houston Texans, Robinson might be in line for his first breakout fantasy performance of the year.

4. Cade Otton, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11% Rostered)

There's not much to like about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense right now, except for the emergence of Cade Otton. Otton is on a tear since Cameron Brate's recent run of injury issues and ranks as TE8 since Week 7 of the season. That's included back-to-back starts and an average of 5.3 targets, 3.7 receptions and 49 yards per game. We all know how much Tom Brady loves his tight ends. Watch out for the injury report. Otton's value is smashed by a healthy return of Brate in Week 10, but that's still very much up in the air.

5. Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR, Cleveland Browns (21% Rostered)

There's something to be said about a consistent fantasy floor, especially a week where four teams are on byes and some notable WR2/3s won't be playing. That includes the likes of Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Jakobi Meyers and Garrett Wilson will be on byes. Donovan Peoples-Jones offers fantasy managers that floor. He's carved out a nice role behind Amari Cooper, especially since Week 4 of the season. In that span, Peoples-Jones averages 6.2 targets, 4.6 receptions and 69.4 yards per game. That's good enough for a WR39 ranking for a player yet to find the end zone. The third-year wideout is on a run of three games with at least 11 PPR points and a WR33 finish. With a simple positive TD regression (he caught five over the last two years), Peoples-Jones is due for a score and safe WR2 finish.
