Week 10 Monday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Commanders vs Eagles

Week 10 Monday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Commanders vs Eagles

Updated:

Another wild week in the NFL concludes on Monday as Week 10 wraps up with an NFC East showdown between the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. The undefeated Eagles are heavy 10.5-point home favorites for this division rivalry game against the last-place Commanders on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, setting the stage for a potentially lopsided affair.

If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's our start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 10 Monday Night Football matchup.

Miles Sanders Fantasy

Start Miles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Miles Sanders had a disappointing performance against the Commanders in Week 3 with a season-low 46 rushing yards but has caught fire since then, piling up 434 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns over his last five games. He's established himself as the clear top back in Philadelphia's rushing attack and sees plenty of volume on a week-to-week basis, earning at least 15 carries in six of his last seven games. The 25-year-old has performed well against Washington historically, averaging 81 rushing yards and 15.8 attempts in four career games versus the Commanders. Bank on another strong fantasy effort from Sanders here.

Curtis Samuel Fantasy

Start Curtis Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders: Terry McLaurin may lead Washington in receiving yards (609), but it's Curtis Samuel who leads the team in targets (66) and receptions (45). Samuel hasn't erupted for any massive performances but he's been consistently good, topping 60 total yards in seven of nine games. His ability to contribute on the ground also boosts his fantasy appeal, as he's notched double-digit rushing yards six times this season. The versatile wideout was busy against Philadelphia in Week 3 with 10 targets and 3 carries, so look for him to be heavily involved again on Monday.

DeVonta Smith Fantasy

Sit DeVonta Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles: Devonta Smith has been the definition of boom-or-bust this year as the clear No. 2 receiver behind A.J. Brown, and unfortunately he's been much more of the latter. He exploded for 169 receiving yards and a touchdown against Washington in Week 3 but hasn't come close to matching that performance, going under 50 receiving yards in four of five games since then (38.6 yards per game) while scoring just one touchdown during that span. Smith is also coming off one of his worst games of the season after seeing a season-low 2 targets in Week 9 against the Houston Texans. Expect the Eagles to go run-heavy here in a likely blowout, limiting Smith's opportunities and resigning him to another quiet fantasy day.

Antonio Gibson Fantasy

Sit Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Commanders: Antonio Gibson started the season strong but has cooled off since Brian Robinson's debut in Week 5. Washington's backfield has become more of the committee since then, causing Gibson's workload to suffer. Since Robinson's return, the former 1,000-yard rusher has averaged just 7.2 carries and 31 rushing yards per game with 0 rushing touchdowns. He's still being utilized in the passing game, but not enough to offset the decline on the ground. Gibson has had only two games with more than 3 catches and just three games with over 20 receiving yards, making him an overall middling fantasy option with a decent floor but not much of a ceiling. If you're looking to make a comeback in your fantasy matchup on Monday night, look elsewhere.
