We the People Belmont Stakes Odds and Post Position

We the People currently has 2-1 odds to win the Belmont Stakes in 2022. That has him as a safe bet in the Belmont Stakes, with the best odds to win. We the People also drew the 1st post position for the Belmont Stakes.

We the People Horse Trainer and Jockey

We the People is trained by Rodolphe Brisset. Brisset is a former top assistant to Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott. He earned his first graded stakes win when Quip pulled a 19-1 upset in the 2018 Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby. Flavien Prat  will be riding We the People; Prat rode in his first Belmont Stakes last year and he nearly won the race aboard Hot Rod Charlie. That he performed so well in the race was no surprise given Prat’s ascent in the jockey ranks over the past few years.

We the People Race History

We the People has a career record of 4 starts and 3 wins. He comes into the Stakes placing 1st in the leaderboard. One of his three wins earlier in the year includes the Peter Pan Stakes, where he took the throne after a loss at the Arkansas Derby.

We the People Prediction and Pick

We the People has a very determined trainer looking for his first Belmont Stakes win. With an Equibase Speed Figure of 101, We the People has 2 -1 odds and has a great shot to finish at the top of the Belmont Stakes. Flavien Prat won the Kentucky Derby on Country House and last year he added a Preakness Stakes victory to his resume with Rombauer. The only race missing from his career Triple Crown would be the Belmont Stakes.Three horses owned by WinStar Farm have won the Belmont Stakes since 2010: Drosselmeyer (2010), Creator (2016) and Justify (2018). Hopefully, some of that luck rubs off on We the People, especially after his phenomenal ten-length win of the Peter Pan Stakes (Grade III) at Belmont on May 14th.
