Warriors vs Magic Game Info

2022-23 NBA Regular Season Game
Golden State Warriors (3-5 Away) vs. Orlando Magic (1-7, 1-1 Home)
Date: Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022
Time: 7 p.m. ET
Venue: Amway Center — Orlando, FL
Coverage: NBA League Pass

The 2022-23 NBA season only has two games planned for Thursday, Nov. 3. One of the two is a matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Orlando Magic. The Warriors enter this game on a three-game losing streak, having lost a 116-109 matchup to the Miami Heat on Tuesday.

The Magic don't have much going for them either this season. A 116-108 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday worsened Orlando's record to 1-7 on the year. Now, Jamahl Mosley's squad aims to win its fourth straight game against the Warriors at the Amway Center.

The Warriors enter this contest as clear road favorites on the moneyline and spread per FanDuel Sportsbook's odds. This 7 p.m. ET clash also features an over/under of 227 points, which is the lowest of Thursday's projected totals.

Warriors vs Magic Prediction & Pick

The Warriors are dreadful on the road this season while also being 0-4 in their last four trips to Orlando. Even with the Magic having one of the worst rosters in the league, their hungry young core could be enough to give Golden State a headache.

With the way that the Warriors have been playing, I can see the Magic getting an upset win here. Golden State has the second-worst scoring defense in the league right now, whereas has had the seventh-best defensive unit over its last three games.

While the Warriors have been deadly from the perimeter in the past, they have the ninth-worst road three-point percentage this season (31.7%). The Magic aren't an elite three-pointing team, but they're close to being a top-10 unit when it comes to defending shots from beyond the arc.

Even though this is a matchup that the Warriors should win on paper, they've looked terrible over the last week or so. This contest has "trap game" written all over it, so I'm taking the Magic to pull off the upset.

Final Score Prediction: Warriors: 110 | Magic: 114

Warriors vs Magic Betting Trends

- Golden State is 1-6 against the spread (ATS) in its last seven games.
- Orlando is 6-4 ATS in its last 10 games against Golden State.
- The total has hit the under in 10 of Golden State's last 14 road games against Orlando.
- The total has hit the under in five of Orlando's last six games played in November.

Warriors vs Magic Best Bet

The Warriors have been dreadful against the spread this season, going 1-6 ATS thus far. Even though Golden State could wind up winning outright, the Magic's defense is good enough to keep things close, regardless of the outcome.

With Orlando having recent home success against its upcoming opponent as well, the best bet here is to take the Magic covering the spread.

Bet: Magic +9 (-110)
