  • Golden State is 3-2 against the spread (ATS) in its last five games.
  • The total has hit the over in three of Golden State's last five games.
  • Sacramento is 3-2 ATS in its last five games.
  • The total has hit the under in four of Sacramento's last five games.

Kings vs. Warriors Prediction & Pick

Game 1 was an impressive showing from the upstart Kings, who didn't back down from the reigning champions in a chaotic series opener. A ton went right for Sacramento, including getting huge performances from De'Aaron Fox (38 points) and Malik Monk (32 points). Winning the rebounding battle 50-41 and while also drawing more free throw attempts (32 vs. 27) proved massive as well in such a tight contest.

For all the good breaks the Kings had, they still won by just three points. It's unlikely both Fox and Monk continue to outscore Stephen Curry, and former All-Star starter Andrew Wiggins had plenty of rust to shake off in Game 1 after missing the previous 25 contests.

This is an obvious bounce-back spot for Golden State, who nearly pushed Sacramento to overtime on Saturday despite losing the advantage in most stat categories.

Final Score Prediction: Kings: 115 | Warriors: 120

Kings vs. Warriors Best Bet

Assuming the Kings come back down to Earth a little in Game 2, it'd be smart to target an alternative spread for the Warriors. Golden State's three-point loss could've easily been a three-point victory if the team just hit two more of its whopping 50 attempts from deep last time out.

Keep in mind, Sacramento had one of the league's most hapless defenses this past season, ranking No. 5 in most PPG allowed to opponents and posting the sixth-worst defensive rating. I think the Warriors' loaded offense -- which only got okay games from the Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole and Wiggins last time out -- can win by at least three points here.

Bet: Warriors Alt. Spread -2.5 (+124)
