Wanya Morris Scouting Report
Morris improved every year of his college career. He projects as a right tackle or even a guard in the NFL.
While Morris is a work in progress, he has the physical traits that scouts love at the next level. He has the athletic ability to block down the field and relies heavily on that physicality, along with his long arms in pass protection. He also has great footwork for his size and moves well in protection.
That being said, Morris has plenty of improving to do. He can rely on his physical traits too much at times, causing bad mechanics, which could lead to him giving up sacks easily against talented edge rushers in the NFL.
Wanya Morris NFL Draft Prediction
It would be great for Morris to land in a talented offense that doesn't require his contributions right away. He should be given the opportunity to sit behind some more experienced guys as he acclimates himself at the NFL level.
The Kansas City Chiefs look like they fit the mold here. They have arguably the best coach in the NFL in Andy Reid that runs a seemingly unstoppable offense, and they have an established O-line. But if any part of it needed some help or some solidifying for the future, it would be on the right side, where Morris fits right in.
Morris could still get some reps as a rookie, while also being provided the freedom to learn.
Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs (Round 4, 134 overall)
