Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa spoke publicly on Wednesday for the first time since the 2021 season ended. He had nothing but positivity for head coach Mike McDaniel, yet his comments regarding former head coach Brian Flores made it clear that the two didn't have a great relationship.

Tagovailoa was asked straight up what he considered his relationship with Flores to be and responded by saying, "that's a big question." While the two-year pro went on to mention that he is very grateful that Flores played a role in Miami drafting him, that was the end of that response.

The body language and tone of Tagovailoa at the mic pointed to the fact that the two simply didn't get along at all times. Of course, Flores was eventually fired after three unsuccessful seasons in Miami and then filed a lawsuit against the team. The break between the two sides was anything but clean.

Tagovailoa is all but determined to start fresh with McDaniel leading the way. It certainly helps that the team gave him a new weapon to use in Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill, too. Nevertheless, the former Alabama standout even called McDaniel "cool" and said he enjoys hanging out with him.

The Dolphins currently have odds set at +3700 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
