VIDEO: Remembering When Chad Johnson Tried to Block Ray Lewis and Got Destroyed

Updated:

Chad Johnson is one of the best wide receivers the NFL has seen in recent years. He's a six-time Pro Bowler, a two-time First-Team All-Pro selection, and he led the NFL in receiving during his 2006 campaign. Despite all those accolades, though, it's his unique personality that really helped Ochocinco separate himself from the pack.

Few players have ever been as outwardly confident as Johnson. While that often worked to his benefit, it also led him to occasionally doing things like trying to block Hall-of-Fame linebacker Ray Lewis. Needless to say, that wasn't a good idea.

Coming to the sideline, Johnson even reveals that he thought he'd be able to handle taking on Lewis. But instead, Lewis effortlessly obliterated Johnson before seemingly running off to crush another opponent.

Even if this backfired tremendously, it's a great glimpse into why Ochocinco is one of the most beloved NFL characters in quite some time.
