The New Orleans Saints offense was practically non-existent during the 2021 NFL season. A big part of that had to do with injuries to several key players, including superstar wide receiver Michael Thomas, who missed the entire season due to a setback following offseason ankle surgery.

Fortunately, Thomas had great news for Saints fans on Friday in the form of an Instagram workout video. As you can see below, the 29-year-old has no issue handling one-legged box jumps on the ankle that he injured.

The fact that Thomas can handle the exercise likely has Saints fans buzzing as training camp nears. Unless another unexpected setback happens, it'd be shocking if his offseason workload didn't increase over the coming weeks.

The Saints need an absolutely healthy Thomas to be a threat in 2022. After all, the former second-round pick led the NFL in receptions (149) and receiving yards (1,725) during his last full season in 2019.

Thomas could also benefit from New Orleans bringing in veteran WR Jarvis Landry, along with 2022 11th overall pick Chris Olave, this offseason. Either the extra bodies will allow Thomas to be more open or his fully healthy presence will draw attention away from Landry and Olave, giving them more opportunities.

Saints Super Bowl Odds

Along with a healthy Jameis Winston under center, the Saints passing game looks like it could do some damage this fall. New Orleans currently has +4000 odds (T-No. 17) to win Super Bowl LVII, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
