VIDEO: Kareem Hunt Shares His Feelings About a Potential Trade Ahead of Tuesday's Deadline

The NFL's trade deadline is this upcoming Tuesday, November 1. With a handful of major deals already going down around the NFL, there's a big name in Cleveland that the rumor mill has been swirling about being on the move. Running back Kareem Hunt spoke with reporters on Saturday about the potential for him to be dealt and what type of discussions he's had with the team about a deal.

Kareem Hunt Trade Rumors

While Hunt is still effective, Nick Chubb is in the midst of an incredible season, and clearly has the capability to become an every-down back. While the versatility and security of having both backs on the roster, Cleveland might view this as a sell-high opportunity on Hunt with plenty of RB-needy teams around the league.

Hunt has averaged 4.0 yards per carry this season, with 263 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. But a lot of Hunt's value has always come in his ability to contribute in the passing game as well. He has 15 catches on the season, resulting in 1 additional touchdown.

While plenty of teams missed out on Christian McCaffrey, Hunt could be seen as a viable backup plan, especially for a contending team like the Buffalo Bills. Hunt carries a $6.25 million cap hit this season, but is in the final year of his contract, which makes trading for him less of a risk for any team.

The Browns and Hunt go up against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8 and are 3.5-point home underdogs, according to FanDuel sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
