Craving football while the sports world is shut down? Green Bay Packers fans can try filling the void with some retro throwback footage of Aaron Rodgers. The future Hall-of-Famer's high school football highlights are available online, and they're a ton of fun.
Playing for Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, California, Rodgers put together an impressive high school career before bringing his game up to the next level. He started for two years, throwing for 4,421 yards. Along the way he set a single-season school record with 2,466 total yards in 2001, also setting the single-game yardage record (440) and single-game passing touchdown record (6).
Despite this, he didn't get a lot of interest from NCAA teams, playing a year at Junior College before eventually transferring to Cal.
The rest is a story that should be familiar to most football fans. He played well enough to earn a first-round selection in the 2005 NFL draft, and he sat for three seasons behind Brett Favre before taking over as the Packers' starting quarterback. A two-time NFL MVP and one-time Super Bowl MVP, Rodgers has racked up 46,946 yards and 364 touchdowns in his pro career. Not necessarily the career you would have expected looking at those high school highlights.
