The 2022-23 college basketball season continues on Friday with an exciting matchup between the Fresno State Bulldogs and UNLV Rebels. Fresno State has now dropped six of its last seven games following a 85-62 loss to Wyoming on Tuesday. Isaiah Hill scored 11 points and tallied 7 assists.

Meanwhile, UNLV enters on a three-game winning streak that includes an 83-71 win over Colorado State on Tuesday. Five different Rebels players scored in double-digits, led by Elijah Harkless' 17 points (6-of-12 shooting). Which team will earn a crucial Mountain West victory on Friday night?

UNLV vs Fresno State Prediction & Pick

It's worth noting right off the bat that Fresno State's only win in its last eight games came against UNLV on Jan. 21. The Bulldogs were slated as a 3.5-point home underdog, but went on to shoot 54.3% from the floor and drain nine three-pointers in the win. I expect the Rebels to get revenge here.

Fresno State shoots only 41.7% on the season (No. 294 in NCAA) and sinks 6.1 three-pointers per contest (No. 302 in NCAA). Its January win was a complete outlier. The Rebels are set up well to bounce back given they have posted a +10.7 average scoring margin over their last three games.

UNLV has won eight of its last 11 games on a Friday, so back the Rebels in front of the home fans.

Final Score Prediction: UNLV: 74 | Fresno State: 59

UNLV vs Fresno State Best Bet

Fresno State is one of the worst teams in the country when playing on the road. The Bulldogs average a dismal 60.0 points and own an average scoring margin of -7.4 in away games this year. Facing a UNLV defense that allows an opponent shooting mark of 42.6% in home games won't be easy, either.

The Rebels should be able to pull away in this one once the second half gets underway. They are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last five games, while the Bulldogs are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games. Fresno State has also lost each of its last five away games by an average of 15.6 points.

Bet: UNLV Rebels -9.5 (-110)
