One blockbuster deal has already gone down before the NFL trade deadline, but others could follow in the next week. The Cleveland Browns will certainly be considering all kinds of moves after starting the year just 2-5.
Two Browns players now find their names in trade rumors ahead of the Nov. 1 deadline.
Brad Stainbook of 247Sports reports Cleveland is "listening to offers" on both running back Kareem Hunt and cornerback Greedy Williams. Both players have been considered potential trade candidates for some time, and that chatter is heating up as November approaches.
Hunt is firmly locked in as the team's No. 2 behind Nick Chubb, and moving him could help launch the latter into the workhorse role fans have been clamoring for. The former Pro Bowler is far removed from his prolific rookie season, but he makes perfect sense as productive veteran target for a few RB-needy teams around the league who've lost starters to injury.
Williams, meanwhile, has struggled to stay healthy since being a second-round pick by the team in 2019. Given Williams' injury woes and Cleveland's talent in the secondary, the two parties splitting ways may be best at the deadline.
The Browns have already made one notable deal this season, trading for linebacker Deion Jones. It remains to be seen if they decide to send out players instead with this season starting off far from expected.
