Tua Tagovailoa Injury Return Timeline Revealed

Tua Tagovailoa Injury Return Timeline Revealed

Updated:

Tua Tagovailoa's hopeful sophomore breakout was put on hold when a rib injury sidelined him after just 9 snaps in Week 2.

The timeline for Tua's return has finally been revealed, with ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting that Tua is expected to be activated from IR to return on October 17 against the Jacksonville Jaguars (Week 6).

Dolphins fans will be excited to have a concrete date set for Tua's return, but things could get ugly in the meantime. Jacoby Brissett almost led Miami to victory in Week 3, but they've now lost both games he's played.

Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts will be Brissett's best chance at earning a win, as he then gets a brutal matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5.

Returning against the Jags would be especially beneficial for Tua, as he'd get to ease himself back into action with one of the softer matchups on the schedule.

In the meantime, FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 4 odds have the Brissett-led Dolphins as 2.5-point home favorites against the Colts on Sunday.
