Travis Kelce Responds to Mike Hilton's Trash Talk Before AFC Championship

Updated:

The AFC Championship Game gives the Kansas City Chiefs a golden opportunity to exact revenge on the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow's performance at Arrowhead Stadium during last year's comeback win in the conference title game has earned him the nickname "Burrowhead" from his teammates.

Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton was caught on camera using that phrase in the final moments of Cincinnati's Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills. Now, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has responded to this trash talk.

Kelce clearly unfazed by Cincinnati's smack talk. In fact, Kansas City's locker room is using the "Burrowhead" name as bulletin board material to get ready for Sunday's clash.

It's safe to say getting on the Chiefs' bad side isn't a smart strategy. This team already has a ton of motivation between wanting to get back to the Super Bowl and hoping to avenge last year's meltdown. Now the Bengals are clearly showing their cockiness, and Kansas City's players would love nothing more than to shut them up.

This pregame drama is the perfect appetizer ahead of a high-stakes battle. The Chiefs are currently listed as narrow 1-point home favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
