Travelers Championship 2022 Odds: Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele Emerge as Widening Favorites

The 2022 Travelers Championship is off to another brilliant start. A tournament well-beloved by the world's top golfers, Round 2 is coming to a close with a pair of those stars widening their claim as favorites to take home the title.

Rory McIlroy sits atop the leaderboard at -11 seven holes into his second round. His fellow group-mate, Xander Schauffele, is right on his heels at -10 for the tournament. Both players are -3 for the day.

2022 Travelers Championship Projected Cut

Currently, the projected cut is set at -2 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT. The course is playing easier than anticipated. Although, several big names likely won't be playing in the final two rounds including Marc Leishman, Sam Burns and Jordan Spieth.

The remainder of Round 2 rolls on into the late-afternoon on Friday, but McIlroy and Schauffele are running away as favorites to win after strong starts. McIlroy is the favorite, according to Golf odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, at +135. Schauffele owns +220 odds, while no other competitor in the field holds better than +1200 odds.

Patrick Cantlay (+1200), Seamus Power (+2000), Martin Laird (+2700) and Webb Simpson (+2700) round out the top 5 in odds, as of Friday at 3:05 p.m. ET.
