The New Orleans Pelicans (37-37) aim to extend their winning streak to five straight games when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers (32-42) on Monday, March 27.

The Pelicans are coming off a 131-110 blowout win over the LA Clippers that saw Brandon Ingram and Trey Murphy III each finish with 32 points. Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers lost for the second time in as many with a 118-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder less than 24 hours ago.

Which side will exit Moda Center with the victory?

Trail Blazers vs. Pelicans Prediction & Pick

Since March 8, the Trail Blazers 11.1% winning percentage (1-8 record) is the worst in the NBA. They've gotten inconsistent play on both ends of the floor, getting outscored by an average of 12.2 points. Even worse is the fact that the Blazers have lost six straight home games ahead of tonight's tilt.

The Pelicans are far from a perfect team, but their winning streak can't be ignored. Their top players have stepped up during this run as the quartet of Ingram, Murphy, CJ McCollum and Jonas Valanciunas are averaging a combined 90.3 points over the last four games.

The Trail Blazers' injury list will make it tough to keep up with the Pelicans' best effort. Jusuf Nurkic and Damian Lillard are both questionable while Trendon Watford injured his ankle on Sunday. Meanwhile, both Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons are doubtful.

With this also being Portland's third game in the last four days, I expect fatigue to play a role as well. Look for a well-rested Pelicans squad to pick up the victory.

Final Score Prediction: Pelicans: 120 | Trail Blazers: 106

Trail Blazers vs. Pelicans Best Bet

Trey Murphy heads into tonight's action with a projected three-point total of 3.5. Although the under is being favored, Murphy's been too impressive on the outside lately to doubt. He's averaging 5.3 three-pointers on 52.9% shooting over his last seven games, finishing with the over in five of those contests.

After sinking 10 threes against the Clippers, Murphy gets to take on the Blazers, who allow a 37.4% three-point percentage (No. 27). As long as the Pelicans keep feeding him the ball, I see another big three-point performance on the way.

Bet: Trey Murphy III — Threes Made: Over 3.5 (+142)
