The reeling Portland Trail Blazers (33-47) head into crypto.com Arena to take on the LA Clippers (42-38) in one of three NBA games lined up for Saturday, April 8. The Clippers can lock up a playoff spot with a victory while a loss helps the Trail Blazers in their quest for a higher draft pick.

Trail Blazers vs Clippers Prediction & Pick

The Clippers shouldn't have any issues winning this game. For starters, the Trail Blazers are playing with what's essentially a G-League lineup as six players were ruled out on Friday, per ESPN. That's not even to mention the three players who were already shut down for the year nearly two weeks ago, including leading scorer Damian Lillard.

Meanwhile, the Clippers have already beaten the Blazers twice in as many meetings this season, so beating up on an injury-riddled lineup won't be an issue. It also helps that Portland is being outscored by an average of 13.4 points over their previous 15 outings.

The Clippers have also won six straight meetings against the Trail Blazers at crypto.com Arena, dating back to March 2019. Unless Tyronn Lue's team completely forgot how to play basketball, the Clippers will emerge victorious.

Final Score Prediction: Clippers: 118 | Trail Blazers: 98

Trail Blazers vs Clippers Best Bet

While a 16.5-point spread will be tough to cover, I see the Clippers doing it. They're the clear-cut better team that's already beaten the Blazers by as many as 15 points this season. Meanwhile, Portland is getting blown out consistently over the last few weeks, losing by at least 17 points six times since March 8.

Considering all of the struggles that the Blazers have had in Hollywood lately, the Clippers have no excuse not to win by a landslide.

Bet: Clippers -16.5 (-108)
