Trade Rumors Link Giants to Jerry Jeudy Ahead of Deadline

The New York Giants are off to a surprisingly fantastic start to the season, sitting at 6-2 through 8 games and heading into their bye week. While their defense has been one of the best in the league, their offense could use some more firepower.

Outside of Saquon Barkley, the Giants really don't have any impact players at skill positions. In today's NFL, having a great wide receiver seems almost paramount to sustainable winning. That's why, ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, there are rumors of the Giants trying to upgrade the wide receiver position. And what better way to do that than to try and buy low on a talented wide receiver still on his rookie deal?

This is why the Giants have been linked to Denver Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy.

Jeudy hasn't exactly blossomed into the star in the NFL people expected he would coming out of Alabama, as arguably the best receiver prospect in his class. And the poor quarterback play from Russell Wilson and questionable coaching all happening in Denver this season aren't exactly helping Jeudy's cause.

The third-year wideout has 30 catches for 449 yards and 3 touchdowns so far this season. The Giants may believe a change of scenery could benefit Jeudy, and it would give them a legitimate wide receiver for Brian Daboll and Co. to continue to build the offense around, especially after the Giants traded their own former first-round pick wideout in Kadarius Toney last week.

This is definitely a situation to monitor over the next 24 hours. If the price drops a bit, the Giants would be wise to take a chance on Jeudy.
