TPC River Highlands Location, Weather & History for the 2022 Travelers Championship

The third major of the year delivered an incredible four days of golf, but now the PGA Tour turns its attention back to the regular schedule and the first stop is at TPC River Highlands for the Travelers Championship.

The Travelers Championship will take place at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT. It's set to tee off on Thursday, June 23.

TPC River Highlands Weather

The weather forecast for the Travelers Championship will start off a little questionable on Thursday with a 60 percent chance of precipitation but still maintaining temperatures in the mid-70s. Friday through Sunday will be much improved, though.

With no precipitation in the forecast for the last three days of the tournament and temperatures ranging from the low 80s to low 90s, it should make for some excellent golf weather.

TPC River Highlands History

Originally founded in 1928, the course was then bought by the PGA Tour in the early 80's and reopened in 1984 following a redesign by famed course architect Pete Dye. It has been home to the Travelers Championship since 2007, but prior to that hosted the Buick Championship and multiple versions of the Greater Hartford Open.
