Top Fantasy Football Streaming Kickers for Week 15 Playoffs (Wil Lutz Should Thrive in Ideal Matchup)

Updated:

NFL kickers were busy across the league in Week 14. That led to some great performances, including several from names available on waivers.

Kicker being one of the most high-variance positions in fantasy football makes it the perfect spot to stream, especially with fantasy playoffs kicking off this week. With that in mind, here are our top three fantasy football streaming kickers (rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues) to target on the waiver wire in Week 15.

Streaming Kickers Fantasy Football Week 15

3. Wil Lutz, New Orleans Saints (vs ATL)

Lutz's fantasy stock hasn't been the same since Drew Brees retired, but he's still a reliable kicker who typically connects on the opportunities he does get. The former Pro Bowler has nailed all 25 of his extra points this year while going 20-for-26 on field goal attempts. Week 15 is shaping up to be another productive outing for Lutz, who's converted multiple field goals in six of his 13 games this year. For starters, he's at home (in a dome) against the Atlanta Falcons, who are surrendering the 11th-most points and third-most yards per game. The Falcons are also starting rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder in his first-ever NFL appearance, so the Saints should have a field day.

2. Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles (@ CHI)

The Eagles have the highest-scoring offense in the NFL at 29.7 points per game, which gives Elliott a stable floor. He's also shown what his ceiling can look like over the past several weeks as Philly has topped 35 points in three straight games. Elliott has gone 15-for-16 on extra points and 4-for-4 on field goals during that stretch, making the former Pro Bowler a quality fantasy option heading into this week's matchup against the porous Chicago Bears. With Chicago allowing the fourth-most points (25.6) per game in the NFL, this is a great week to fire up Elliott.

1. Michael Badgley, Detroit Lions (@ NYJ)

Badgley is getting tons of scoring opportunities in Detroit's high-flying offense, which currently ranks fifth in the NFL in scoring at 26.8 points per game. In his last two games alone, he's gone 6-for-7 on field goal tries and 8-for-8 on extra points, which is incredible volume for a kicker. Look for him to be busy again in Week 15 against the New York Jets on the road. While the Jets have a good defense, that could translate to more FG opportunities for Badgley if the Lions' drives stall in the red zone.
