Top Fantasy Football Streaming Defenses for Week 12 (Dolphins Poised to Feast at Home)

Updated:

Week 11 of the NFL season featured several impressive defensive performances from teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers. Week 12 presents plenty more matchups to exploit for managers who opt to stream this position.

If you're one of those managers, The Duel is here to help with three of our top fantasy football streaming defenses for Week 12.

Week 12 Streaming Fantasy Football Defenses

3. Carolina Panthers (vs DEN)

The Panthers' offense may be a disaster, but their defense has been solid, especially lately. Carolina has allowed just 28 points over its last two games combined despite facing a pair of potent offenses in the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens. The Panthers have a much easier matchup in Week 12 at home against the sputtering Denver Broncos, who have been putrid on offense all season long. The Broncos rank dead last in scoring at 14.7 points per game and rank 21st in yards per game as well, setting up Carolina for another strong defensive performance here.

2. Indianapolis Colts (vs PIT)

The Colts' defense remains criminally under-rostered in fantasy leagues considering how good it's been this year. Despite issues on the other side of the ball, Indianapolis is giving up the 11th-fewest points per game and fifth-fewest yards per game. The Colts have also been consistent, as they've yet to yield more than 27 points in any game this year. That bodes well for their matchup here against an anemic Pittsburgh Steelers offense that ranks 28th in points per game and 27th in yards per game. After limiting the high-flying Philadelphia Eagles to 17 points in Week 11, Indianapolis should shine against one of the worst offenses in the NFL.

1. Miami Dolphins (vs HOU)

While the Dolphins have been generating most of their buzz on offense this year, their defense has been solid as well. They've given up 17 points or fewer in two of their last four matchups and are coming off their bye week to face the Houston Texans, who are rolling out one of the worst offenses in the league. Houston hasn't scored more than 17 points since Week 7 and ranks 30th in scoring at 15.9 points per game. The Texans are also averaging the fewest yards per game in the NFL, so don't be surprised if a well-rested Miami squad turns in its best defensive showing of the season.
