Top Fantasy Football Streaming Defenses for Week 6

Top Fantasy Football Streaming Defenses for Week 6

Updated:

Week 5 of the NFL season featured several defenses putting up double-digit points in fantasy football thanks to weak opponents and turnover-filled performances. Week 6 presents plenty more matchups to exploit for managers who opt to stream this position.

If you're one of those managers, The Duel is here to help with three of our top fantasy football streaming defenses for Week 6.

Week 6 Streaming Fantasy Football Defenses

3. Cincinnati Bengals (@ NO)

Streaming options are a bit limited this week with four teams on bye. That's what makes looking at matchups the key to finding the perfect one-week fill-in for managers rostering the Cincinnati Bengals D/ST. The Bengals are set to face a Saints team on Sunday that has turned the ball over a NFL-high 13 times already and allowed two defensive touchdowns. Cincinnati has been turning things around as of late, too, giving up just 20 points or less in each of its last four games. It doesn't matter if Jameis Winston or Andy Dalton is starting at QB for New Orleans. The Bengals should ball out either way.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars (@ IND)

Yes, the Jaguars lost a heartbreaker to the Houston Texans in Week 5 by a final score of 13-6. It was another great showing for their defense, though. Jacksonville gave up only 256 total yards and now ranks as the sixth-highest scoring defense in fantasy football. The Jags should be able to keep that success going against a Colts offense that is averaging a league-low 13.8 points per game. Quarterback Matt Ryan also leads the NFL with 7 interceptions and 11 fumbles on the year. That bodes well for a Jacksonville squad that has logged 9 takeaways on the year (T-No. 5 in NFL).

1. Chicago Bears (vs WAS)

The Thursday Night Football matchup between the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders is expected to be another low-scoring primetime battle. A short week or preparation and two subpar offenses have caused the total to be set at just 37.5 points on FanDuel Sportsbook. That lines the Bears up as a viable streaming option in fantasy football. Washington makes a ton of mistakes on offense. Quarterback Carson Wentz has thrown at least 1 interception in four his his five starts this year and has also been sacked a whopping 19 times. Chicago should be able to keep constant pressure and force one punt after another. Their floor is super high in Week 6.
