Felix Bautista is the definition of a hard-throwing reliever. His sinker and fastball each top out at 99 mph, while his splitter checks in at 89 mph and his curveball at 85 mph. The 27-year-old posted a 2.19 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP across 65 2/3 innings as a rookie last season. Bautista is the unquestioned closer for a Baltimore squad that is looking to take a major step in the right direction in 2023. That makes his floor much higher than any veteran stuck in a committee on a contending team.

The emergence of Devin Williams certainly played a role in Milwaukee's trade of closer Josh Hader at last season's trade deadline. The 28-year-old owns an impressive career 2.03 ERA and has tallied 250 strikeouts across 155 1/3 innings pitched. Williams is a great closer, as his 1.6% home run percentage shows that he rarely gets beat with a power swing. Teams will need to string together multiple hits to beat him, which will be tough considering the Brewers' stellar infield defense.

Everything went right for Edwin Diaz in 2022. He posted a career-best 1.31 ERA to go along with 32 saves across 62 innings pitched, which landed him an All-Star nod and a new five-year contract with the New York Mets. What stood out most about Diaz's dominance was his 50.2% strikeout percentage. That is an insane mark and one that gives him a high ceiling in 2023. The 28-year-old righty should continue making batters whiff in the ninth inning for a team that has the talent to win 100+ games for the second year in a row.
